England not feeling so bad about losing the war anymore
Quite frankly, if this is the best we have to offer, who is to say who won?
Tune in to America's premier birthday celebration. A Capitol Fourth on PBS on Wednesday, July 4. Check your local broadcast times. A Capitol Fourth will be broadcast in High Definition!
Join us live from Washington, D.C. for America's biggest and best-loved birthday party: A Capitol Fourth 2007. Hosted by veteran actor Tony Danza, the nation's premier Independence Day holiday concert will feature performances from some of the country's best known and award-winning musical artists including recording artist Elliott Yamin (American Idol), Grammy Award-winning gospel legend Yolanda Adams, the king of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Little Richard, country music sensation Dierks Bentley, accomplished young actress and singer Hayden Panettiere (Heroes) and Tony Award-winner Bebe Neuwirth (more to be announced) with the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of top pops conductor Erich Kunzel. The spectacular concert and show brings PBS viewers an unrivaled evening of patriotic and uplifting music followed by a stunning display of fireworks over the Washington Monument.
The fact that is is being broadcast in High Definition! manages to raise it up to almost half-assed from being quarter-assed.
I know. I'm being generous. Holidays bring that out in me.
