Gravity beckons...
You have to admire the persistence and stamina of the rightwing bloggers who are continously wrong, wrong, wrong everytime that they apply fingertips to qwerty. And yet, time and again, they are still willing to grab onto every breaking story in the hopes that this time, yes this time, their stunted world view will be somehow vindicated..... only to end up like Wile E. Coyote waiting for gravity to get on with it.
You remember, of course, this little gullible guppy frenzy from earlier in the week?
This can only mean one thing - cliff ahead:
The US air strike on Somalia failed to kill any of the three top al-Qaida members accused of terror attacks in east Africa.
A senior US official said yesterday that Sunday night's attack had killed between eight and 10 "al-Qaida affiliates" near the southern tip of Somalia.
But he said that Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, Abu Taha al-Sudan and Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan, all linked to the 1998 US embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania and the 2002 Mombasa hotel attack, were still on the run. "Fazul is not dead," said the official, contradicting earlier reports. "The three high-value targets are still of interest to us." To put this in terms that even Dan Riehl can understand: this was like taking out ten ladies in ten pink Cadillacs...but they failed to get MaryKay.
...and the world is that much poorer for it.
Next up: barren, husbandless former-NSA advisor, who was asleep at the wheel on 9/10/2001 resulting in 3000 American deaths only to top that by advocating needless war that has resulted in another 3000 American deaths, gets mildly insulted.
