Nearly five years after 9/11, we are well into an epic, generational struggle. A struggle that pits freedom against tyranny ... hope against fear ... democracy against Islamic radicalism. The men and women of our Armed Forces are fighting with heroic resolve ... and they deserve to be supported in their mission by diplomats willing to call evil by its name, able to rally our friends and allies behind the global expansion of freedom and democracy, and unafraid to passionately pursue reform of our dysfunctional international institutions....
Blah...blah...blah. Whatever. You're still never going to be President, Monkey-boy.
But that hasn't kept Kitty Kevorkian from setting up Blogging for Bolton as part of iFrist (yes...iFrist) and enlisting bloggers like Captain Corndog, Special Ed, Charles -Scourge of teh Photoshoppers, and, of course, the Long Island Loon
..to help the cause. Or whatever it is that Pamela does.
Their mission was to put up a Blogging for Bolton button on their blogs which enables their readers to call DemocraticDemocrat Demoncrat senators and insist that they send John Bolton back to be the Bull Goose King Beserker of The UN. But John Bolton: not so much a popular guy. After a couple of days, and with all of their combined readership as well as all the other little Bolton Bandwagoners, only 1749 calls have been placed spread out over 44 Senators. If you subtract the 82 placed to Joe Lieberman, who may or may not show up to vote, it's not exactly a groundswell of support for Bolton, unless your idea of a groundswell is, like, well, a speedbump...
Interesting by his non-inclusion on the list (although not a Democrat), is Lincoln Chafee who is still facing a tough election in the November and has pretty much laid out his position.
This is why they put Boltons name on his office door written with a Sharpie on masking tape...
