Stapp Watch
Thanks to tim for our latest Stapp sightings.
First, Scott gets married on Friday night.
Stapp, 32, whose recent solo album The Great Divide went double-platinum, and Nesheiwat, 25, said their vows at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, a European-inspired estate on the waterfront of Biscayne Bay.
Nesheiwat, who wore a Vera Wang gown, walked down a 65-foot-long rose-petal-covered aisle during the nuptials. Stapp's 7-year-old son, Jagger, served as the best man.
We will pause for a moment to gag over the fact that Stapp's son is named named Jagger. Jagger Stapp. Yes, that is a name to go through life with. Jagger Stapp. Then we will ponder a woman with enough good taste to purchase and wear a Vera Wang gown...but not enough to keep her from marrying Scott Stapp.
Anyway, it must have been a hell of a honeymoon since Scott got his big old rock n' roll self arrested the next day:
TMZ has learned that Creed lead singer Scott Stapp was arrested Saturday at LAX on charges that he was drunk in a public place (Penal Code, Section 647).
Police sources tell TMZ that Stapp tried to board a plane yesterday but was allegedly so drunk that airline personnel would not let him on. Sources say Stapp was "antagonistic, boisterous and pissed off."
We're told Stapp was taken to LAPD's Van Nuys division and demanded a blood-alcohol test. He blew a .18, more than twice the legal limit.
Stapp's arrest in LA came just one day after his marriage in Miami. His bride is Jaclyn Nesheiwat. Unclear if she was at the airport during the arrest.
As Rob Thomas (the mini-Stapp) might put it: Smooth.
I was surprised to see that Stapp's latest opus crappus had gone double platinum. The used CD store where I fill all my CD needs usually prices newer, but used CD's, at $9.99, older ones at $7.99, and the chunk blowers at $3.99 to 5.99.
The Great Divide? $5.99
...and there were about five copies.
We will leave you with the lyrics to Scott's latest: Broken
Why are we overcome with fear? What if I told you that fear isn't real. Why are we overcome with death? What if I told you my friends your doubt You could live without!
There is a question I want to understand Why can't everyone tell the truth and learn to love again
Do you know...what it feels like to be broken and used Scared and confused Yes I know
One more question...I know time is dear Is what the world speaks of love really real? The answers not of this world but very clear Look above to find love and you found eternal life
Street corner preachers you've heard before Friendly advice just gets thrown out the door There is a question that I want to understand Why can't everyone tell the truth...and learn to love again
Do you know...what it feels like to be broken and used? Scared and confused Yes I know...what it feels like to be broken and used Scared and confused Yes I know
I'm Broken!
I think that blows about a .18
