Ow! That felt good! Ow! That felt good.
I don't have much to say about the recent election of Jerry Sanders as San Diego's new mayor except to point out that, over the previous four elections, the electorate chose the candidate (the seriously corrupt Susan Golding and the marvelously inept Dick Murphy) of the downtown Republican business establishment, both of whom helped plunge the city into its current fianancial quagmire. So, in a brilliant act of self preservation, the wise voters of San Diego elected...the candidate of the downtown Republican business establishment.
Next week we're going to be hitting ourselves in the head with Louisville sluggers in effort to see if it still hurts when we do that.
We're kind of stupid that way.
